Glitch in GTA 4

Here are some photos I took of a glitch occurring in GTA4. Let me just say, don't drive down any gunshop stairs in a Blista Compact.

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Shortness; My review of the Penny-Arcade game.

Tonight, I shall give you my feelings on the most recent Arcadian efforts into divergent media; Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. The title of the article tells you you of my first thought on the game; it is quite abrupt. Though it is titled "Chapter One", the game highlights the shortcomings of episodic gaming. The plan may be to whet the players appetite, for me it was simply frustrating spending $20 on an experience that was finished in less time than it would take to watch an average-length Uwe Boll film.

The game itself, while occasionally entertaining, seemed quite overwrought. Being set in a Victorian steampunk setting appeared to be an excuse to write in even more flowery prose than one might find in a Penny-Arcade news post written by Jerry Holkins. Despite being brief, the experience became repetitive in short order. Trust me, I wanted to like the title, but it seems better suited to a flash game hosted on the comic's site rather than being purchased outright.

The gameplay is paper mario-esque, with a heavy reliance on items, lest you die at the grubby hands of a vagrant or an unseemly juice machine which could make Jack LaLane blush. The soundtrack is passable, but the only thing that could do with less length would be the voiceover for the tutorial.

I give the game a 5/10. As an old joke goes: "The food is terrible and such small portions!"

Not so much of the posting.

I've taken an unofficial break from my writing duties here at a AGTB, with many contributing factors. My creative energies have been rather drained by my new job, as well as being quite distracted by GTA4. I should be writing about the games I play, rather than just enjoying them. I have recently purchased a PS3, I didn't purchase any games with it, just the spider-man 3 BRD. The 40gb PS3 is missing many of the features which made the earlier models more desirable; the extensive hardware-based backwards compatibility most notably, followed closely by the data and USB ports which were cut to reduce costs. There are but 2 USB ports on the 40gb PS3 and none of the memory card slots. But I digress, I have neglected this site and I should attempt to produce more guides which seem to be attention grabbers.
